The Fender Two is a contemporary mash-up of elements taken from proven designs, both past and present. It features a soft 50/50 rail, rolled bottom entry, and low rocker for an optimal speed-to-forgiveness ratio above the front foot. With a snubbed nose, rounded wings, and a butt tail, this outline is so soft it’s basically baby-proofed! However, be warned: the hard edge is so sharp you might just cut yourself lookin’ at it. As an extension of the tow of the fins, the fender two has four defined concaves extending from the front third of the board, which help generate speed in several ways. Drag is reduced by redirecting water both between and away from the fins. The inside double concave works much like a Bonzer system, while the exterior concaves add lift between turns yet still hold when on rail.

Upright twins tend to lack drive and hold, but the addition of a third fin solves this issue—only this one is over foiled, limiting drag. You now have the best of both worlds: the speed of a fish and the drive of… well, almost a
thruster. The simple idea is to have maximum steady load time before each turn, and to come out of it with more speed than you went in with (ideally while still standing). Recommended conditions for this model are knee- to head-high.
